Irrfan Khan’s Career

The world has never seen an actor this versatile and one who can pull off any character given. Irrfan Khan started his career with TV shows on Doordarshan like Chanakya, Chandrakanta. Furthermore, he went on to do shows on other channels like Star Plus and ZeeTV. His biggest break into the film fraternity was through ‘The Warrior’. It was a British Film by London-based film maker Asif Kapadia in the year 2001. This made him internationally famous. 

Post this, he started gaining popularity and bagged roles in many Bollywood movies like ‘Maqbool’, ‘Haasil’, ‘Metro’, ‘Gunday’, ‘Haider’, ‘Piku’ and ‘Hindi Medium’. His stunning performances went across the world to the west too. In Hollywood, he is known for major roles he played in ‘New York, I Love You’, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Inferno’. 

But the most iconic performances and the ones that acclaimed popularity across the globe were ‘Life of Pi’, ‘The Lunch Box’ and the legendary ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. It is sad to know that his last appearance on the silver screen was ‘Angrezi Medium’ starring Kareena Kapoor, Radhika Madan and Deepak Dobriyal.
